Dungeon Lootr Appraisal and Dismantling

Appraisal and Dismantling solve different equipment problems. Appraisal is shown in current Update 1.5 footage as a Star-spending stat reroll that can improve or worsen an item. Dismantling is the Forge route for removing retired equipment and recovering part of its upgrade materials. Keep the item if you still need it; dismantle only after checking the live return preview.

How Appraisal is shown in Update 1.5

Dungeon Lootr Update 1.5 overview: Appraisal, Dismantling, and tournament systems

The reviewed Appraisal walkthrough shows a selected item, its current stats, and a Star cost. Another player explains that Appraisal can bring an item toward the current player level and gives example costs for different rarities. Those examples are not a universal price table: the current panel should decide the cost for your item.

  1. Open the Appraisal interface and select the item you intend to keep.
  2. Write down the current stats before opening the reroll prompt.
  3. Read the displayed Star cost and the resulting preview carefully.
  4. Confirm only when the possible improvement is worth the downgrade risk.

A creator also warns against rerolling automatically once an item looks “good enough.” That is personal advice, not a game rule. Set your own target stat and spending limit before pressing confirm.

How Dismantling works

The Forge Dismantle panel is shown with selected equipment and a material return preview. Player evidence describes partial recovery of upgrade materials, including a reported 40% return in the current Update 1.5 discussion. Treat that percentage as a reported build value and read the live preview before confirming; it is not a promise that every item returns the same amount.

  1. Open the Forge and switch to the Dismantle tab.
  2. Select only equipment you have already replaced or no longer intend to use.
  3. Check the material return shown for the selected item or batch.
  4. Confirm after reviewing the complete selection because removal may be irreversible.

How to decide whether a reroll is worth it

Use the item in context. A quality score or one high stat cannot measure every class build, and the reviewed material does not establish a universal cutoff. For a physical class such as Dragoon, physical damage and skill usage may matter more than a generic score; for a magic class, the useful target can be different.

What the videos do not confirm

The reviewed player footage does not confirm exact NPC coordinates, a permanent price list, eligibility for every item, a restore option, or a guaranteed appraisal result. It also does not replace the live UI. Use the Dragoon guide and Hellfiend guide for build context, then make the final decision from the current item panel.

FAQ

Does Appraisal always improve gear?

No. The reviewed evidence describes a new base-stat roll, and a reroll can be worse.

Does Dismantling fully refund upgrades?

No full refund is supported here. Player evidence describes a partial material return, so check the live preview.

What is the exact Appraisal price?

Prices shown in videos are examples. Read the Star cost for the selected item in the current build.

Can I restore a dismantled item?

A restore option is not verified by the reviewed evidence. Treat confirmation as permanent until the live interface proves otherwise.
